Tonga leads weather talks in Nadi

NADI, Fiji – May 9: 4.37pm (Nuku’alofa Times): Meteorologists from around the region have had their plates full this week as they met at the Pacific Meteorology Council meeting here at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi, with Tonga leading the discussions and a changing climate already hitting the region.

BANGKOK, Thailand-May 9: 9am (ESCAP News): Geographically disadvantaged nations and least developed countries (LDCs) in the Asia-Pacific region can boost national incomes, educational attainment and life expectancy by reducing their sizeable physical infrastructure gaps, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) said in a new report released yesterday.
