Tanoa Dateline ready to open her doors
NUKU’ALOFA-October 31: 6.30pm (Nuku’alofa Times): Mark November 1 – Tuesday – on your diary and make a date with the new-look Tanoa International Dateline Hotel.
The hotel, taken over by the Tanoa Group of Hotels, will be opening her doors to guests from the day.
And what will be the hotel’s chance to monitor, evaluate, re-define and develop their service will be a treat for guests who book with them.
With the grand opening set for February next year, the hotel management and group directors have agreed to give guests a glimpse of what they should expect.
General Manager Peter Kerr said he and his staff are looking forward to opening their doors to guests as “we are marking the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic Tanoa International Dateline Hotel which we have fully refurbished”.
Mr Kerr said they now have 87 staff – 80 of which are local Tongan nationals.
He and his team will be using the next few months to make sure everything is up to par for the opening.
“The soft opening will provide us with several months of commissioning and testing,” he said.
“During this time, we will extend a discounted accommodation rates, check all the facilities and operations. Snags will be completed, and modifications are made as necessary until we decides that all systems are good to go.”
The hotel is offering an Opening Special of NZ $199 per night until January 31, 2017.
Tanoa International Dateline Hotel features 122 modern well-appointed rooms with air conditioning, and all the services and amenities to suit the busy executive or the discerning leisure traveller exploring the Kingdom of Tonga.
The hotel have onsite room service, restaurants and bars, offering breakfast, lunch and evening meals for your convenience.
Mr Kerr said the Tanoa International Dateline Hotel offers a wide range of dining options for guests, including breakfast, lunch and dinner selections.
“Tanoa International Dateline Hotel’s restaurant offers a fine selection of local and international cuisine for breakfast, and delicious evening meals,” he said.
Their Pool Deck Bar also offers fresh grill style menu, with the Deck Bar operating for both lunch and dinner.
Guests can also enjoy the Lobby Bar, which offers freshly brewed tea and coffee during the day, transforming into an elegant yet friendly bar venue in the evening – the perfect spot to sip on a freshly made cocktail while watching the magnificent sunsets.
