NUKU’ALOFA-May 1: 2.10pm (Nuku’alofa Times): National Pacific Insurance (NPI) became the first official sponsor of the 2015 Heilala Festival earlier today when they handed over their sponsorship cheque to Heilala Festival Organising Committee.
NPI Tonga Manager Mr Sione Paongo handed the sponsorship cheque to Heilala Festival Director, Hon Semisi Sika at the company’s head office earlier this morning.
Mr Paongo said the company was happy to be involved with the Heilala Festival, with the sponsorship a show of their community assistance and development.
Hon Sika said they were grateful to NPI for their sponsorship and said they were hopeful other local companies would follow suit.
The Heilala Festival will be held in line with the Coronation Week.
This year’s festival is being finalised and a number of young Tongan women are expected to contest the Miss Heilala Pageant.
