Nuku’alofa Times represented at Tech Camp in Fiji
SUVA, Fiji – August 8, 11.42am (Nuku’alofa Times): Regional journalists and communication officers from five island countries are attending a three-day Regional Tech Camp here in Suva this week.
Among the participants are three reps from Tonga, including Nuku’alofa Times consultant editor Iliesa Tora.
The other two are Taimi ‘o Tonga Editor Mele Fiu Bloomfield and Anitelu Toeapi, the Communication Officer for the Tonga Civil Society.
Organised by the American Embassy here in Suva, participants have come from Tonga, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Nauru and Fiji.
Facilitators are BBC staff Marko Zoric and former CNN staff Linda Roth.
Social media platforms and their use to benefit the different organisations represented have been an interesting topic.
The workshop started on Monday and will end on Wednesday.
