Drugs found on driver
Auckland, New Zealand – February 14, 2019: 2.50pm (Nuku’alofa Times): Police found drugs on a driver who had crashed onto a post at Fonongahina on Tongatapu on Monday.
Police spokeswoman Telesia Adams confirmed this in a news release from Nuku’alofa.
She said members of the Police Drugs Taskforce seized 24 packs of cannabis from a vehicle that crashed onto a power pole on Monday, February 11.
The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old man from Fangaloto, was believed to be heading north on Tapuvao Road when he swerved and crashed onto a power pole on the left side of the road.
He (the driver) is in critical condition at Vaiola Hospital. Police Investigation continues.
