Dr Korovou joins FRIENDS Fiji Board
Lautoka, Fiji – March 9, 2019: 10.10am (Nuku’alofa Times): Longtime Fijian medical doctor Samuela Korovou has been selected as a new Board member of the Lautoka based non governmental organisation FRIENDS Fiji.
Having worked in senior roles at the ministry of health in Fiji and the region, Dr Samuela is currently a lecturer at Dr Umanand Prasad School of Medicine at the University of Fiji.
Dr Samu’s inclusion in the board further solidifies FRIEND Fiji’s commitment to the various medical initiatives being undertaken by the NGO.
FRIEND director and founder Ms Sashi Kiran welcomed the appointment and said Dr Samuela brings alot of community experience to the Board.
All board members of FRIEND Fiji work as volunteers and are not involved in the day to day operations.
Graduate journalist Nandni Vandhana also joined FRIEND on a full-time basis as the new Public Relations Officer.
